Professor Sandra Barr talks to Alexis Armstrong in a Smoko podcast

Alexis Armstong (Acadia BSc Geology, 2012) subsequently completed both an MSc in Geology and MBA at Queen’s University. She had a diverse career that included gold exploration, 3-D modeling, underground production, and working as a marine technician for Texas A&M's International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP). She is passionate about advocacy and women's representation in non-traditional roles (STEAM & Trades): creating Peggy Workwear and the sister-brand the Smoko Podcast.

EES students, professors, and alumni take the GPR to Hantsport

The EES department's Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) was taken to Hantsport to investigate coastal erosion as part of Abbey Smith's BScH project.
