Geology Field School Fund

The Geology Field School Fund was set up through donations to financially assist Geology and Environmental Geoscience students to participate in field work, especially the second-year field school. Funds are allocated at the discretion of the Department Head and Budget Committee.

The funds can be used to subsidize the cost of the field school so that it remains affordable for students. Individual students in those programs can also apply to this fund for special support to attend the field school, or to participate in other field-related opportunities if they cannot afford to do so. A student can apply to the EES Department Head no more than once per year for such support, stating their needs and the benefits that they anticipate gaining from the field work or field experience.
