The Young Mining Professionals Scholarship Fund was established by the Young Mining Professionals group to help fund and promote mining and mining-related education to the next generation of mining entrepreneurs in Canada. $120,000 new scholarships announced
Applications are currently open for all scholarship programs, with the earliest deadlines being July 31, 2021

CMIEF (Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation) scholarships
$1000 scholarships available by application for students who have a genuine interest in being employed in the mining industry. Scholarships are awarded in May to students who will be attending university in September of that year. Application deadline is March 31 each year. See https://www.cmief.ca/ for more details.

The PDAC Mentoring program connects trained industry professionals with students and recent graduates to share their extensive knowledge and experiences in an effort to address the skills shortage and strengthen the mineral industry. more information

Field Course funding

A field school fund is available to assist students to participate in field courses and other field experiences. Any student enrolled in a program in the department may make an application to the fund once a year, stating their needs and the benefits they anticipate to gain from the field work. Applications should be directed to the department head.
