Environmental Science accreditation renewed
Acadia University Environmental Science programs were successfully re-accredited through the Canadian Environmental Accreditation Commission.
*Please note that due to Acadia's 4 day work week program the Earth and Environmental Science Main Office will be closed on Fridays from June 13th, 2025 until August 15th, 2025. Emails will be answered in order when it reopens on Monday morning.*
Earth and Environmental Science at Acadia offers programs leading to B.Sc. degrees in Environmental Science, Geology and Environmental Geoscience, and M.Sc. degrees in Geology, Environmental Science and Applied Geomatics.

The department has been pleased to host Maisa Abram who gave a presentation on the geology of Brazil and her work on phosphate deposits in the Parnaiba Basin, northeast Brazil.
The Department of Earth and Environmental Science, in which Kirk Woodman (B.Sc, Acadia, 1985) was an undergraduate student from 1981-1985, is deeply saddened by his death while working in Burkina Faso. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.
