What Eve Pole, 4th Year Honors ENVS has to say about the ENVS program and her time at Acadia;

"I have truly enjoyed being a part of the Environmental Science program within the Earth and Environmental Science program at Acadia. The small class sized and hands-on learning experiences make your time at Acadia feel personalized, while allowing you to gain valuable, practical skills at the undergraduate level. The program’s curriculum is interdisciplinary, drawing from biology, chemistry, and geology, which gives students a broad and well-rounded understanding of the environment. My favorite part of the program is the strong sense of community you build with both peers and educators. Small classes make it easy to form meaningful connections, and those friendships often extend beyond the classroom. Professors make a genuine effort to get to know you and provide ongoing support throughout your time at Acadia. The close-knit community and education within this department are experiences I will carry with me long after I graduate!"

What Karen Brookman, 4th Year Honors Geology has to say about the Geology program and her time at Acadia;

"The Earth and Environmental Science department at Acadia shaped me into the person I am today. I consider it a true privilege to have been a part of this influential community for the past 4 years. Being surrounded by professors who are passionate about their field and love what they do has fostered a positive, close-knit, and inspirational environment for learning and growing. I am always met with friendly faces on our floor. The best advice I can give to any prospective or current student is to get involved. I have had life-changing experiences from joining the Fletcher Geology Club, attending conferences, and getting selected for external experiences like the Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workship (S-IMEW). Learning from my professors, my honours supervisor, industry professionals, and my peers has shown me what kind of geologist I want to become. I will be forever grateful for my time in the Geology program at Acadia."
