Earth and Environmental Science at Acadia offers programs leading to B.Sc. degrees in Environmental Science, Geology and Environmental Geoscience, and M.Sc. degrees in Geology, Environmental Science and Applied Geomatics.
Thursday June 23 was a full day of retirement-themed fun for Dr. Raeside; he chaired his final department meeting at 9:30 am, was a guest of honour at lunch, and sat down to a beautiful dinner at the Blomidon Inn in the evening. As Dr. Raeside is retiring July 1 we have to cram in as much as is possible.
The 2022 newsletter was sent out to over 800 alumni/ae. In it you can read about our department, some new faces, highlights of the year, upgrades to our facilities, and of course news of the alumni/ae from all corners of the globe.
Mitch Maracle, a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, was named today as one of only 20 recipients (from a pool of close to 800) of the $10,000 per year (for up to four years) RBC Indigenous Youth Scholarship.
