S-IMEW (Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop)
On behalf of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada’s (PDAC) Human Resource Development Committee, we are pleased to announce that the 12th annual Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop (S-IMEW) will take place May 2-18, 2018, in Sudbury, Ontario. This exclusive workshop will host 26 selected senior Earth Sciences students from various Canadian post-secondary institutions for two weeks of hands-on learning and interaction with representatives from the Canadian mineral exploration community. If you are interested, review the criteria and requirements of you in the attached nomination form, and provide Dr. Spooner with the covering letter, resume, and an official transcript. Dr. Spooner will need this information by November 23. We will send you the contact information form and waiver form if you are one of the students we nominate.

Field Course funding

A field school fund is available to assist students to participate in field work and field experiences. Any student enrolled in a program in the department may make application to the fund once a year, stating their needs and the benefits they anticipate to gain from the field work or field experience. Applications should be directed to the department head.
