Still Field School Season
GEOL 2083, 2025 edition!
The GEOL 2083 field school spent the first few days of the class in the Wolfville area during which they mapped and explored some of the local geology, culminating in a transect across the Valley. After this introduction to field mapping they departed for the Northumberland shore where they spent a week mapping a wonderful variety of rocks from Proterozoic granite to Carboniferous carbonates. Looking forward to next year!
Megan (2nd-year BSc ENGO student) writes: "Field school was an invaluable experience for understanding the theory and details from lectures and labs. Everything I’ve learned in the past 2 years made so much more sense over just 10 days!"
Could not have said it better!
Not lost in the woods...
Camp life!
Nothing like sunny days by the shore...
Big rocks!
