Sharks and fossils and Terranauts!
Chantal writes: “Hi! My name is Chantal Couillard and I'm a third-year student in Environmental Science (with co-op) at Acadia! This summer I worked as a Wildlife & Marine Biology Program Assistant with Terranaut Club, a Canadian non-profit organization that provides science and nature education programs for girls and gender-diverse youth ages 9-18. One of the cool things I got to do this summer was a shark tagging trip with our Terranaut Club participants off the coast of Lunenburg, NS! We spent the afternoon deep-sea fishing, then reeled in and did a work-up on an 8-foot Mako shark before releasing him back out to sea. I loved working with Terranaut Club and can't wait to see what they do next :)”
