Grace Nissen first “Inspired by Sable Island” award winner
Congratulations to Grace Nissen, the first winner of the “Inspired by Sable Island” award. Grace submitted a proposal to study the freshwater lens on Sable Island that the whole island ecosystem relies on. The Sable Island Post-Secondary Award is organized by the Friends of Sable Island and Parks Canada "to connect with the hearts and minds of the next generation of young people who will care for Sable Island National Park Reserve." She received $500 and a daytrip to Sable Island National Park Reserve with Parks Canada.
