Field work in Greece!

Megan writes: “Having the opportunity to travel to Greece and participate in field work for the geology component of the South Mani Archaeological Project (SMAP) was an incredible experience that I am endlessly thankful for. While there, I was able to take part in not only geological field work relating to my Honours thesis, but also in field work related to the archaeological aspects of the project such as survey and site preparation. I am thankful to have experienced the many moving parts that go into working in a broad team of academics from various backgrounds, highlighting for me the importance of multidisciplinary research. Since returning, I am excitedly preparing many beautiful marble samples back at the Acadia Petrographic Lab. And aside from all of the amazing academic experiences, I also appreciated the beautiful beaches and incredible food!”
