Estuary - Fall 2022 published two Geology students' photos

Amanda Smith and Monet Streit captured two images that warranted inclusion in Estuary, the Fall 2022 edition of the journal of the Department of English and Theatre. Amanda's image of nematoblastic talc crystals growing into a void space achieved the front cover of the publication and Monet's image, "What Makes the Sidewalk's Sparkle?" shows a clastic rock(?) under crossed polars with angular to sub-angular quartz grains in what appears to be coarse-grained low birefringence matrix. Is that sandstone, quartz arenite or concrete??

See Estuary for the images!
