ACADIA ALERT - Delayed Campus Opening (Weather)

Acadia University will delay opening campus on Monday, December 08, 2025 until 12:00 noon. All morning exams will be rescheduled to a later date and afternoon and evening exams will continue as scheduled. Conditions on campus will be assessed throughout the morning and if there is a need to remain closed a follow up message will be sent.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus until it opens. Residences will be accessible, and Wheelock Dining Hall will be open.

Environmental Science honours students mini-symposium

On short notice, the Science Atlantic conference at Cape Breton University was cancelled, so the Acadia Environmental Science honours students presented their findings in a mini-symposium.


Laura Bonga is discussing sources of error in her study, Mercury and other metals in sediment and invertebrates from the Hyla Park and surrounding wetland, Fredericton, New Brunswick, co-supervised by Michelle Grey and Nelson O'Driscoll.


Haley Geizer is discussing sources of error in her study, Mercury speciation in gull (Larus argentatus) guano samples and changes over two summer seasons on Brier Island, Nova Scotia, supervised by Nelson O'Driscoll.
