Environmental geoscience in the vineyards…

Naz writes: “This summer, I’ve been working with VineView, where I’ve gained experience applying geospatial and data-processing tools to agricultural applications. My work has involved processing aerial imagery, georeferencing data, and using GIS and Python-based tools to analyze and manage geospatial information. These tools are ultimately used to provide a variety of services to wineries and support vegetation management, including assessing plant health and helping predict potential yield quantities. It’s been a great opportunity to see how some of the skills from Environmental Geoscience can be applied in this industry setting.”
