Fall term preparation in E&ES

Preparations are now underway for fall term courses in Earth & Environmental Science. Although we will be delaying the start of courses until 21 September, professors are setting up special arrangements so that students can participate in class in most classes, or at a distance if necessary. In Mineralogy, for example, Cliff Stanley is 3D-printing crystals to send out to students who will be studying at distance.

Without giving away too many answers, here are some orthorhombic, hexagonal and isometric crystals in yellow plastic. These crystal models will be used for the first few labs in Mineralogy and are being printed courtesy of the School of Business Administration.
