CMIEF Scholarship recipients
CMIEF (the Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation) has been offering scholarships since 1964 to undergraduate students with a strong interest in a career in the mining industry. Students enrolled in a geology, mining or metallurgy program in a Canadian university, or any other discipline related to the mining industry, are eligible to obtain a scholarship. This year five students from the Geology program applied and all five were successful in receiving a $1000 scholarship. These scholarships are generally renewable, for as long as the recipients are at Acadia. Congratulations to Amanda, Mitch, Jake, Zoe and Jesse on this award!
