Rain writes: “I worked at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada at the Central Experimental Farms in Ottawa Ontario. I worked as a research assistant in a project that aims to reduce nitrogen gas emissions. I spent a lot of time learning how to collect and analyze gasses in agricultural soils. As a future entomologist one of the highlights of the summer was being able to photograph and document invertebrate life in field sites.
This beautiful wasp is Therion circumflexum and this image won the People's Choice Award in the Entomological Society of Ontario's annual Bug Eye photo contest!”
