Alicia Escribano will receive the Acadia Outstanding Masters Research Award at the upcoming Graduation Convocation

Congratulations to Alicia Escribano who will receive the Acadia Outstanding Masters Research Award for the Faculty of Pure and Applied Science at the upcoming Graduation Convocation. This award is made to the top graduate student in the faculty over the past year. Alicia completed her MSc thesis last summer on "Petrology and age of felsic volcanic rocks of the Coldbrook Group and associated granitic plutons, Caledonia terrane, southern New Brunswick, Canada" and was supervised by Dr. Sandra Barr. Originally from Chile, Alicia studied at Acadia from 2019 to 2021, and defended her thesis in August before moving to Memorial University in Newfoundland where she has now embarked on a PhD thesis.
