EES students, professors, and alumni take the GPR to Hantsport

A Ground Penetrating Radar is a non-destructive geophysical tool that can be used to investigate the shallow subsurface. Abbey Smith is starting an Honours project investigating coastal erosion near Hantsport. This GPR survey may help to identify interesting subsurface features including contacts, bedding, and unconformities.

Survey lines are marked using measuring tapes. Start-and-end positions are recorded using a GNSS GPS RTK receiver.
