Departmental News

Recent graduate student, Gabriel Santos, was announced as the 2019 Recipient of the Léopold Gélinas Silver Medal.

The annual departmental field trip around the periphery of the Meguma terrane of southern Nova Scotia took place on April 22-23.  Acadia students and professor Sandra Barr were joined by Atlantic Gold Corporation geologists and Chris White of the NS Department of Energy and Mines.

Recent graduate Alex Squires is working in the Indin Lake area of NWT, conducting structural geological assessment of the Colomac gold deposit.
