Earth and Environmental Science at Acadia offers programs leading to B.Sc. degrees in Environmental Science, Geology and Environmental Geoscience, and M.Sc. degrees in Geology, Environmental Science and Applied Geomatics.
The department was pleased to host Dr. Tim Fedak, Nova Scotia Museum, for an informative lecture about Ebenezer Harding, a geological pioneer in Nova Scotia, and for him to examine some of our historical fossil collection.
Students, faculty and community members participated in the poster session for the Environmental Science Climate Change for Environmental Professionals course, held in the Huestis Pavilion.
Adjunct professor Deanne van Rooyen (Cape Breton University) provided us with some dramatic images of folded basaltic flows from her work in northern Quebec.
