Description:

·        Grey Bark furrowed near base, smooth near top

·        Broadly oval leaves that are finely serrated

·        Dark green leaves above-yellow-green below

·        Leaves tremble or quake in wind due to laterally flattened leaf stalks

·        Grow quickly and are invasive

Habitat:

·        Woodlands

·        Wet areas

Distribution:

·        Scattered

·        Stands found near driveway and behind cabin
