Description:

 

·        Plant is erect and arching up to 3 m tall with scattered broad-based prickles

·        Occasionally smaller bristles and stalked glands are present

·        Five leaflets are stalked and have a velvet-like covering of hair beneath

·        White flowers have five petals

·        Large fruit is of good quality

 

 

Habitat:

 

·        Sandy ground

·        Old fields

·        Open woodlands

·        Clearings

 

 

Distribution:

 

·        Near edge of cow pasture
