·        Slender plant with many branches

·        Small blunt elliptical leaves are arranged in whorls, four or five leaves per whorl

·        Tiny white flowers crowd each inflorescence

Habitat:

·        Low-lying ground

·        Along streams

·        Alluvial soil

Distribution:

·        Cow pasture near oyster ponds
